Chail is a small town and famous as a secluded hill station near Shimla. It is just 20 kms from Shimla and has lush green himalayan forest which makes chail favourite among travellers looking for tranquility and seclusion. Some beautiful locations offer unmatched views of snow clad himalayas. In summers when tourists throng Shimla at Chail you can be assured only very few discerning tourists will be visiting this place.
In hills, day or night temperature depends on season as well as the weather conditions, Means cloudy weather can make mercury take a dip.
April to June(Summer Season)-Very Good Time
If the weather is clear then in these months Morning and Evening remain cold (between 10 to 20 degree celsius) while afternoon remain pleasant(between 15 to 25 degree ). If skies become cloudy then temperature may dip further and you may need a jacket even in the afternoon.
July to September(Monsoon Time)-Good Time
Rainy season brings the best of nature in the form of lush green mountains and valleys with a backdrop of spectacular snow-clad Himalayas.
October to March(Winter Season)-Good Time
In these months morning and evening become frigid and on a sunny day, afternoon remain cold further between December to February snowfall may take place any time so it is advised to travel with a fleece jacket, Muffler.
By Air
Chandigarh is the nearest airport to Chail. From Chandigarh one can book a cab for Chail. Chail is just 120 kms from Chandigarh and takes 3 hours to reach Chail.
By Train
Kalka is the closest railway station which is well connected with Delhi. Kalka is 80 Kms from Chail. Although if one wishes to enjoy the ride of a hill train, Kandaghat is the nearest railway station for Chail.
By Coach
Kandaghat is the nearest point where Volvo can offer drop. From Kandaghat cab can be booked to reach the resort.
