Kollam (Formerly known as Quilon) offers unmatched experience of houseboat cruise along the placid waters of Ashtamudi lake . Kerala’s second largest lake, Ashtamudi Lake is 16km long and is noted for its splendid waterscapes and wetlands. “Ashtamudi” means “eight branches”; the lake is a combination of eight smaller bodies of water. Kollam’s beauty is not limited till its backwaters , its long stretch of stunning beaches is another major attraction. In many poems Kollam has been referred to as ‘swapna desham’, or dreamland.
