Jhalana is one of the most interesting landscapes currently present within the confined walls of a major city that has one the highest densities of leopard in the country. Situated in Jaipur, Rajasthan, Jhalana Safari Park spreads a little over 20 square kilometres and consists of more than 35 leopards which makes their sighting pretty common. Other mammals found easily are spotted deer, wild boars, hyenas and jackals. With the beautiful landscape of Aravallis as its backdrop Jhalana has garnered quite a name in the wildlife tourism space for its easy accessibility and common sighting. It is also home to more than 200 species of birds making a birder’s paradise as well. The tourism season is from October to June while the park is closed for rainy season in July, August and September. Tourist can enjoy the safari is open gypsies.
