Lying in the Hoshangabad district of Madhya Pradesh, Satpura National Park is another home for tigers in central India and forms a major landscape with Pachmari and Bori Wildlife sanctuaries. Fairly less popular than Kanha and Bandhavgarh, it is a unique central Indian highland ecosystem which consists of extremely rugged hills and sandstone peaks, narrow gorges, ravines and dense forests. Wildlife species many mammals like tigers, leopard, sambar, gaur, chital, Indian muntjac, nilgai, four-horned antelope, Chinkara, wild boar, bear, black buck, fox, porcupine, flying squirrel, mouse deer and Indian giant squirrel and many birds like Malabar whistling Thrush, Paradise Fly-catcher, Honey Buzzard, Malabar pied Hornbill. there is currently no zonation inside the national park, however the movement of gypsies is restricted to particular areas and dry summer months are the best time to spot amazing wildlife.
On arrival check in at your wildlife themed resort overlooking forest & have delicious lunch. Leisure till late afternoon. In the evening enjoy boat safari .

Satpura National Park remains open for tourists from 15th October to 30th June. Because of monsoon, Satpura National park remains closed for the remaining months.
Most of the tourists visit Satpura National park between October to Feb as the weather cool and the heat doesn’t sting anybody. From Oct to Feb, Satpura National park is a true abode of migratory birds. Oct to Feb is also the perfect time to explore Satpura National park on foot as well as avail the speed boat.
April to June are very hot but this is the best time for wildlife spotting & photography.
BY ROAD:
Satpura National park is well connected from all parts of India by road. One can reach Satpura National park via Bhopal or Jabalpur. As Satpura National Park is spread over Jabalpur – Bhopal road.
BY RAIL:
Satpura National park is well connected from all parts of India by rail. Nearest railway stations are Pipariya (49 kms), Sohagpur (20 kms), Itarsi (74 kms) and Hoshangabad (50 kms). Most of the trains stop at Itarsi and Pipariya.
BY AIR:
Satpura National park is well connected from all parts of India by Air. Bhopal is the nearest airport. Bhopal is well connected from Delhi, Mumbai & other cities.
