Coexistence is the word that comes in the mind when one talks about Jawai Leopard Reserve where Leopards and human have learnt to coexist in harmony. Located at Pali in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, it is famous for the Jawai Hills and Damn, and now is an upcoming wildlife spot where one can sight leopards easily in picturesque landscapes and is also home to other wildlife like hyenas, sloth bear, jackals and many birds mainly waders like flamingos, egrets, herons and cranes. Many migratory birds also flock the area in winter season. Gypsies are curated for safari drives in Jawai and Bera areas where leopards are often found. One can also spot crocodiles in the adjoining dam area.  Sighting a big cat amongst human dominated landscapes and that too in broad daylight is a sight to behold.

Best Time To Visit Jawai Leopard Reserve

Jawai Leopard reserve remains open for tourists from early sep to mid may. Jawai Leopard reserve remains closed for the remaining months.

Because of weather conditions mostly tourists visit Jawai Leopard reserve between October to March. Weather is less humid in these months. From April to May the heat is unbearable & weather is more humid.

How To Reach Jawai Leopard Reserve

BY ROAD:

Jawai Leopard Reserve is easily accessible from major cities  like Ahmedabad (280 kms),  Udaipur (136 kms),  Jodhpur (165 kms) and Jaipur (396 kms) etc.

BY RAIL:

Mori bera (4 kms),  Jawai Bandh (15 kms) and Falna (35 kms) are the nearest railhead to Jawai Leopard Reserve with good train connectivity from the major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, Jaipur and Ahmedabad.

BY AIR:

Udaipur (150 kms) and Jodhpur (170 kms) are the nearest domestic airport and Ahmedabad  is the nearest International airport located at a distance of 270 kms.
